Junior Jordyn Arens pursues long strides for her way to the end.

Even though there was three inches of snow the day of the first meet, the Warriors still managed to compete at the indoor track meet at Mount Marty University.

The Warrior track team traveled to Yankton on Thursday, March 23 for the indoor meet, which consisted of over thirty teams from Nebraska and South Dakota.

This was the Crofton Warriors first track meet of the season. This meet gave the athletes a chance to compete in their events, even though the weather outside was not track meet weather. The athletes have been consistently working and competing in the gym at after school practices.

Overall the team did well. Many students improved their previous indoor bests. Others improved their outdoor bests in their events.

Many relay races took place and the excitement will run throughout the rest of the year. In the Girls 1600 Sprint Medley, junior Ellie Tramp, senior Blair Jordan, sophomore Rylie Arens, and junior Jordyn Arens placed first in their relay with a time of 4:29.89.
