The 2022 Crofton Warrior track team state qualifiers included (l to r): Jayden Jordan, Kaylee Mauch, Elizabeth Wortmann, Kiera Altwine, Caitlin Guenther, Ellie Tramp,  Jordyn Arens, Rylie Arens, Mayson Ostermeyer

The Crofton Track Teams traveled to Hartington to compete in the Class C-4 Districts Championships. Both teams competed well, earning a series of personal records and qualifying eight to the State Track Competition in Omaha’s Burke Stadium on May 19 through 20. 

The girls team came home with runner-up qualifying seven in eight events for state. Jayden Jordan, in spite of an ankle injury, pulled off a first place in pole vault and earned her way to state for the third time in pole vault. 

Ellie Tramp came in first in both the 100 and 300 hurdles qualifying for state in both for the second year in a row. Tramp also managed to break the school record for the 100 hurdles not once but twice, once in prelims and again in finals. 

Qualifying in discus Caitlin Guenther threw a personal best of 111-03 which also placed her first in the event. Guenther also qualified in triple jump placing second.

Jordyn Arens ran her way to state in the mile and the two mile for the second year in a row placing first in both. 

The girls 4x800 relay which consisted of Rylie Arens, Kiera Altwine, Elizabeth Wortmann, and Jordyn Arens also qualified for state. The relay team placed first at districts beating the second place team, Hartington Cedar Catholic, at the line by four hundredths of a second. 

For the boys team Mayson Ostermeyer qualified in pole vault for the second year placing first with a new personal record of 14 feet. 

The girls team competed in 35 events for the day.
