The Lady Warriors won against Wynot and Bloomfield in the Wynot quad on Thursday, September 1 without losing a single set.
Leading the Lady Warriors in kills in the Bloomfield game was sophomore Lexi Wiebelhaus with six followed by sophomore Sammie Allen with five. Sammie Allen tallied up three aces with junior Caitlin Guenther right behind her with two. Sophomore Cassie Allen had seven digs followed by junior Ellie Tramp with five. Sammie Allen got nine assists and sophomore Jaida Allen contributed seven.
In their next game against Wynot, Wiebelhaus and Guenther both had seven kills. Cassie Allen had four aces. Sammie Allen led in digs with eight followed by Cassie Allen and Tramp, with six each. Sammie Allen racked up 11 assists and Jaida Allen added six.
The Lady Warriors have a record of 3-0 now. As the season continues Sammie Allen says the team needs to work on serve receive the most.
The Lady Warriors’ next volleyball competition is a tournament on Saturday, September 10, at 9 a.m. at Boone Central.
