The FCCLA Crofton Chapter had their kick off meeting on Monday, Aug. 29 with a total of 16 students attending.
An introductory speech was given by President Piper Dather. After the speech, Advisor Mrs. Thoene explained to the FCCLA group the activities they will be performing for the year, after which they played a get to know you game as well as other activities. Finally, the FCCLA group finished the meeting with dinner.
The following are this year’s selected FCCLA officers:

Vice President- Lillian Earley
Secretary- Alexis Suing
Treasurer- Olivia Walter
District Representative- Sierra Tomsu
The next FCCLA meeting will take place on Monday, Sept. 12. FCCLA activities such as concessions, and Pink Out will take place on Oct. 13 at the Volleyball game between Crofton and Guardian Angels Central Catholic.
Mrs. Thoene stated that her goals for this year’s FCCLA chapter include gaining more membership, having at least half the group participate in Power of One, and all of FCCLA helping with two community service projects.
