After starting the season with a 2-0 record, the Lady Warriors competed against Boone Central, Boyd County, and Guardian Angels Central Catholic within the past week, and advanced their record to 4-1.

Lady Warriors vs Boone Central Cardinals:
The Lady Warriors faced off against Boone Central Tuesday, December 6 and won by 19 points (51-32).

On the offensive side, junior Caitlin Guenther led the team with 19 points and seven rebounds, sophomore Lexi Wiebelhaus followed with 10 and five respectively.
On defense, sophomore Cassie Allen had the most steals with six, junior Ellie Tramp and sophomore Sammie Allen followed each with three.
Guenther said, “we can still improve on finishing our layups around the rim.” The Lady Warriors struggled a little but were able to push through, Guenther said that their teamwork helped them stick together throughout the game.


Lady Warriors vs Boyd County Spartans: 
The Lady Warriors traveled to Boyd County Friday, December 9 and came away with an extraordinary blowout, winning 63-24.

Guenther and Cassie Allen led the team in points with 17 and 14 respectively. The Lady Warriors had eleven offensive rebounds, and 12 defensive rebounds. Junior Jordyn Arens had the most defensive rebounds with three, and Guenther had the most offensive rebounds with four. In steals, Tramp led the Warriors with eight, and Sammie Allen followed with six. 

Reflecting upon the game, Cassie Allen said they did well pushing the ball up the floor, “It helped us get a good lead and it helped us get a good start to the game.” She also stated that they need to bring down the number of turnovers they have; they had 18 as a team against Boyd County. 


Lady Warriors vs Guardian Angels Central Catholic Blue Jays:

The Lady Warriors played a tough game at home against GACC and, unfortunately, lost 45-31.
In points, leading the team with seven was Sammie Allen; Guenther and Wiebelhaus followed with six each. For GACC, sophomore Adyson Luebbert scored 14 points and junior Isabel Hass scored 10. 

On rebounds, Cassie Allen had the most with five, and Wiebelhaus followed with four. Wiebelhaus led the Warriors in steals with four, Sammie Allen, Cassie Allen, and Arens followed each with two.

After the game, Sammie Allen said, “We did well pushing the ball on transition when we could.” She said they need to get more aggressive on offense, get to the free throw line some more, and work on boxing out every possession.

The Lady Warriors will play at home against Niobrara-Verdigre on Thursday, December 15 at 6:15 p.m.
