Simon McFarland lands a free throw during the game against HSF, with the Warriors dropping the matchup to the highly touted Flyers, 52-39.

Crofton boys dropped a pair of games in the Wynot Holiday tournament held late last week. 

During the first round game on Thursday, Dec. 29, the Warriors (1-8) took the early lead against West Point-Beemer (3-4) after the first quarter, 9-8, and were down by only two points at the half. But West Point used a 15 point third quarter to take a commanding lead. Crofton evened things out in the fourth, but it wasn't quite enough, taking the loss 46-38 .

Leading the way for the Warriors was Braxton Foxhoven with 16 points, followed by Simon McFarland with 10. Zac Arens had 6 for Crofton, followed by Jace Foxhoven with 4 and Jace Panning with 2. 

In the consolation game the following night, Friday, Dec. 30, the Warriors took on highly ranked Humphrey St. Francis. 

Again, they jumped out to a first quarter lead, 7-6. But the Flyers dropped in 26 points to Crofton's 15 in the second to take the 32-22 lead into halftime. The Warriors were outgunned in the final two quarters, taking the loss 52-39. McFarland led the way with 14 points for the Warriors, with Braxton Foxhoven dropping in 11. Arens and Panning both had 6 points each, and Jace Foxhoven had 2.
