From the Nebraska Game & Parks

The boat ramps and slips at Weigand Marina at Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area are closed to allow work to begin on the marina upgrade project.

They will remain closed through the 2026 season, with no boat access permitted at the marina.

Boaters can access the lake using the ramps at Miller Creek, Bloomfield and South Shore areas. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is working to expand temporary parking, install additional temporary mooring docks and make other improvements at those locations.

The marina store and the park’s main office at Weigand will remain open during construction.

Weigand or Burbach campgrounds, lodging, the fish-cleaning station, the dump station or other related amenities will remain open and unaffected.

Game and Parks is working to schedule a stakeholder meeting about the marina project; once the date is set, an announcement will be issued and posted to OutdoorNebraska.gov.

Questions about boat access can be directed to the park office at 402-388-4169.
