Students traveled to Kearney for the All-State Class D band performances on Friday of last week.
Pirate Band members Landon Hergert, Lucea Miller, and Scarlet Torrey represented in the Wind Ensemble. Hergert was a medalist.
Jaden May and Callie Taylor represented in the Symphonic Band.
Also selected for the Wind Ensemble and medalists were Emma Sauser and Bastion Curtiss who attended the District Speech invite that was scheduled at the same time.
Students performed an afternoon concert with clinicians Andrew Fayes, director at Doane and Emily Bond, director at Lincoln Christian.
“I am super proud of the students and their performance over the weekend,” said PHS Instructor Wynter Fulsaas. “I continuously see improvement from each of these kids and the hard work is paying off!”
